Youth Filmmaking Workshop

An encore to last year’s hugely successful workshop! Learn the art of filmmaking beginning from writing and developing a script, acting in a dramatic short, cinematography, editing and working together as a crew. Private screening and recognition given to students for their newly learned filmmaking skills. Students leave 5-day workshop with DVD of their collaborative work and invaluable filmmaking skills. Snacks provided, students bring brown bag lunch each day.

“Video Editing for Kids”
Ages 11-19

We’ll shoot a little video but mostly we’ll edit footage using simple to extravagant techniques. State of the art MAC computers, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere.

Tues 4-6:30pm $150

“Basic PhotoShop Skills”

Students will receive instruction that will provide a solid foundation in the basic skills needed to enhance and manipulate images in Adobe PhotoShop software.
Taught by long time educator, Susan Taylor, classes will be held in the ACCTV computer lab

Thursdays 1pm-3pm pm $100 ($90 for BAC & NNFF members)

“Hair and Makeup for Film”

Lillian Brown, hairdresser and makeup artist will be teaching a course on hair and makeup for film. Lillian has worked with musicians and film groups on the set and on the stage for film, music videos, and on-stage performances. Lillian will teach simple techniques on how to apply makeup for the best on-camera result and some tricks about creating simple do’s for character development. Receive hands-on experience by attending the workshop.

“ACCtv Studio Use”
Ages 13-Adult

The all inclusive 24 hour class, 4 six hour classes on consecutive nights. This action packed course will certify you in Television Production, Camera Techniques and Non-Linear Editing. Sound too good to be true? It’s not! This intensive but exciting class will train you in every aspect of production. To use the studio after this class, by yourself, you still need to provide 12 hours of volunteer time.

Have Camera Will Travel & This Is MY Family Ages up to 110

Are you a traveling senior who has photos or video footage of your adventures? Want others to see where you’ve been? Have video of the kids growing up? Using simple transfer methods and voice over you can share your experiences on television and the internet.

Tuesdays 6pm-8pm $100

“Using a Digital Video Camera”

This class is for those interested in using field production units to produce access programming. Designed to provide hands-on training in Canon GL2 and Sony 2100 cameras, this course concentrates on correct camera controls, techniques and shot composition. This class also certifies you to check out cameras for free as long as you are producing for CH 210 TV.
